Merrel Davis began his career as cinematographer and live events crew member, but soon discovered that his talents lead him to New York City where worked as a video editor, graphic designer, and cinematographer on music videos, industrials and documentaries.
In 2009, Merrel began Screenwriter Karaoke a successful monthly networking event which sees the gathering of screenwriters in both NYC and LA for song, drink and networking.
Merrel’s innate understanding of story structure, dialogue from a development, production and post-production perspective lead to his work as a story analyst. Merrel has evaluated 100’s of scripts to determine their worth as salable projects and works as a story analyst through production companies, on a freelance basis and for CoverMyScript.com.
